The remains of the old Albagés Castle are seated on top of a hill with an excellent panoramic view over the surrounding plains. The castle dates back to the 12th century. Three centuries later it became the palace of the administrator of the Poblet Monastery. The large Gothic twin window with the beautiful heraldic coats of arms of Abbot Guimerà de Poblet, that are carved on each side, catch the eye.
