In the village of Vinaixa we find th Church of Saint John the Baptist (Església de Sant Joan Baptista) built in 1301, which is Romanesque in style but with strong Cistercian influences. It has a rectangular plan with a single nave and semicircular apse, covered with a pointed vault, reinforced by lateral arches without external buttresses and without decoration of any kind. It still preserves some Romanesque paintings, dating back to the time the church was built.
The Vinaixa church has been declared a historical-artistic monument by the Ministry of Culture.
